Interpreted by Carlos and developed with celebrated master perfumers, ARQUISTE® translates stories, landscapes and architecture into top, heart, and base notes, allowing you to unlock newly discovered olfactory experiences in a most intimate way.

Considered the first international niche brand created by a Mexican designer, ARQUISTE® is the scent partner behind global luxury and retail brands such as by Matthew Zink - Eau de Parfum, Vacation Inc,  St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, J.Crew, El Palacio de Hierro and Trudon.

Carlos’ journey into the world of scent starts through his love of architecture. Drawn to Mexico's history, and a passionate traveler since young, he first pursued the study of architecture and historic preservation at prestigious universities in Mexico City, Paris and New York, where he graduated with honors in Historic Preservation at Columbia University. His diverse experience includes meticulous residential and commercial projects as well as art installations concerned with the interpretation of historic sites.

In New York, a chance encounter with master perfumers Rodrigo Flores-Roux and Yann Vasnier allowed Carlos a glimpse into the world of perfume, eventually being personally mentored by Rodrigo. During this time, Carlos studied perfume history, fragrance evaluation and development. His mission to bridge the worlds of architecture and perfume through the lens of restoration led him to create ARQUISTE®.  Since then, he has worked with world-class perfumers winning numerous awards from the fragrance, fashion and media industries, establishing Carlos as a fragrance developer dedicated to meticulous storytelling, and complex, bewitching fragrances.
